scholarship of Rs. 5 lakh to students planning to go abroad.

Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Atlantic, is offering 


Indian students a scholarship of Rs. 5 lakh.

So, here’s what you have to do!

In order to apply for the scholarship, you need to write 500 


words on how you will solve a 

problem faced by the world using their education.


The student whose idea sounds the best will be selected for 

the scholarship, reports a leading daily.


The British billionaire, who apparently believes that education 

is more than just getting a job and earning money, is well-

known for his unconventional ideas.

• Apart from the scholarship, Virgin is providing a baggage 


allowance of 50 kg for economy 

and 75 kg for business class.

• No penalty will be charged for changing the date of travel.

• The application should be sent with the following documents:

Contact details: Email ID, Phone number and address, Copy 

of valid student visa

• A valid proof of admission to a university in the UK or the 


USA

• A copy of Virgin Atlantic ticket

The last date to apply for the scholarship is October 15, 


2013.
