NTPC Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST and Physically Challenged Engineering Students in India

Expanding its outreach in the area of social concern, NTPC has started a scholarship scheme to promote the educational interests of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Physically Challenged students and thus helping them in shaping their careers as well.

And it is inviting applications for grant of 35 Scholarships under ‘NTPC Scholarship Scheme’ for meritorious Engineering students in India.

Who can apply: Students belonging to SC/ST/Physically Challenged categories (Visually Handicapped/ Hearing Handicapped/ orthopaedically Handicapped) and who will be pursuing the third year of their 4 years full time degree course during the session 2013-2014 in the disciplines of Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics/ Telecommunication from a college/university recognized by the Govt. of India can apply for this scheme. They should not be receiving any financial aid or assistance from any source.

Scholarship Amount: The scholarship is admissible from the second year till the final year subject to the condition that the student meets the minimum qualifying criterion for success in each year. The amount of scholarship is Rs.1500/ per month that is Rs. 18000 per annum.

Total 35 scholarships will be granted (20 SC, 10 ST and 05 PC).
